Oh So Solar

June 1st 2008 00:25
SkyPower Corp. knows solar is the way to go when it comes to alternative energy sources. This Toronto-based company, in association with its American partner SunEdison LLC is working hard to develop their solar park project near Napanee, Ontario. Construction of the 19-megawatt (MW) solar park is scheduled for completion by the end of 2009. SkyPower is an example of a firm incurring risk in the hopes of great reward for the company, the economy, and the environment.

This large solar park project will have thousands of solar panels spread over a wide acreage. This solar park will supply power to the Province of Ontario's power grid. The solar photovoltaic (PV) panels installed in the park will collect solar power from the sun and transform it into electricity for the power grid. This project is one of over twenty that the company has across Canada.

Risk takers constantly innovate. SkyPower uses nature to give back to nature. Along with the solar project, SkyPower also develops wind power projects. Again, as risk takers, they invest labor and capital to develop, build, and manage, large-scale wind parks. These wind parks involve the generation of power by wind turbines set up in large-scale configurations across many acres of land that have strong wind resources . With these wind parks, SkyPower seeks to provide benefit to the economy as a whole, the communities they operate in, their employees, and the environment.

SkyPower has a vision for renewable energy projects and focuses their efforts on bringing these projects to fruition profitably. They are an example of a corporation that takes the calculated risks necessary to enhance company value, the local and national economies, and the environment through their alternative energy projects.
